Product Description
- Easy-to-read digital display indicates temperature settings, adjustable in 5°increments, from 5° up to 540°C (41° to 1004°F), depending on model
- Microprocessor-controlled feedback technology maintains consistent, repeatable temperature settings. Ideal for labs that perform repetitive procedures
- Hot surface alert safety systems protect from accidental burns. Bright red warning lights signal when heating surface is above 50°C (122°F). Unit display flashes "HOT" - "OFF" when heating is turned off, until heating surface is below a cool 50°C
- Flat top and high-wattage heating elements combine to provide superior heating transfer and fast time-to-boil
- Three sizes offer flexibility from microscale chemistries to larger vessels
- Integral ring-stand holder accommodates 0.5" (1.3 cm) diameter support rod
- Rugged low-profile cast aluminum body provides stability and durability

- StirTrac™ technology offers improved slow speed stirring, consistent speed control and stronger magnetic coupling. The StirTrac braking feature brings the stir bar to an immediate stop for quick flask removal

The warning light remains on until the top plate cools down. Operation
- Separate easy-to-read digital displays indicate temperature settings for heating and rpm for stirring, adjustable in 1°C and 1 rpm increments. After pressing "SET" and adjusting the setpoint the display will show actual reading after 3 seconds
- User-programmable preset buttons allow for up to four often-used temperatures and/or stirring speeds to be recalled at the touch of a single button. Ideal for labs that perform repetitive procedures

- All models supplied with 6" type K probe, detachable cord and retention bracket that prevents cord from becoming accidentally removed and include 2" x 3/8" diameter TFE-coated stir bar

The maximum temperature limiting feature ensures that the unit will never exceed the programmed limit, allowing for control of sensitive flash points. To protect the probe, the unit will automatically shut off the heater if the probe becomes disengaged from the sample. The overshoot protection function will automatically shut the unit down if the set temperature is exceeded by 10°C, or if the stirrer motor stops or fails. For additional safety, a warning light is illuminated when heat is turned on. The warning light remains on until the top plate cools down. In the timed mode of operation, an audible alarm will sound when the time reaches zero or when the unit reaches the set point temperature. Microprocessor control regulates heat and brings samples to desired temperature quickly and accurately. Built-in memory allows users to recall the last set temperature even after the unit has been turned off. Easy-to-read LED display shows set point, actual temperatures, and time. Timer can be set from 1 minute to 100 hours. The timer will display the elapsed time or the user-defined time limit, and will shut off unit when time reaches zero. Ramping feature slowly increases speed to avoid splashing, improve magnetic coupling, and provide excellent low-end control. Powerful continuous duty motor delivers dependable and reliable stirring. Choose from models with a ceramic or aluminum top plate. Ceramic top plates feature an easy-to-clean, chemical-resistant, reflective white surface. Durable aluminum top plates provide a more even heating surface and will not crack or chip. Units that include a NIST certificate are individually four-point calibrated against National Institute of Standards and Technology Traceable equipment. The certificate outlines the traceability, tests, and results. The calibration laboratory is NVLAP accredited to the ISO/IEC 17025 standard. UL and C-UL listed. CE marked.

- Super-Nuova Multi-Position stirring hot plates combine the features of the Super-Nuova with four individually controlled stirring positions; making it the only one of its kind on the market
- Stir Trac™ breaking feature brings stir bar to an immediate stop for quick flask removal and prevents "runaway" or decoupled stir bars
- Operation is simple, with a single knob controlling both heating and stirring
- Store up to three programs and recall at the touch of a button using the preset buttons
- Dual LED’s display both temperature and stir speed simultaneously
- Adjust temperature in increments of 1° up to 370°C (698°F); 0.1°C for temperatures below 100°C with remote temperature probe
- Stirring adjustable in units of 1 rpm
- "Hot Top" warning system alerts users when the hotplate is over 50°C even if the power is off
- Walk away timer shuts off heating, stirring, or both after 1, 2, 4, 8 or 12 hours
- Seamless, easy-to-clean white ceramic top enhances sample visibility
- RS232 port outputs time count, temperature and set point directly to your PC
- Digital display indicates hot plate temperature (°C) and stirring speed(s) for each position
