Spill-resistant housing channels fluids away from the internal components. On the rear of the unit is a built-in support rod holder with locking knob. The overshoot protection function will automatically shut the unit down if the set temperature is exceeded by 10°C (50°F). Microprocessor control regulates heat and brings samples to desired temperature quickly and accurately. For additional safety, a hot-surface alert ("CAUTION HOT TOP") illuminates when the temperature rises above 40°C (104°F). This alert remains on until the unit cools, even when the heater is turned off. Easy-to-read LED display shows set point temperature and provides repeatable and accurate results. Built-in memory allows users to recall the last set temperature even after the unit has been turned off. Choose from models with a ceramic or aluminum top plate. Ceramic top plates feature an easy-to-clean, chemical-resistant, reflective white surface. Durable aluminum top plates provide a more even heating surface and will not crack or chip.
